I actually never made a purchase or sold bullion at Bullion Direct.  I just had some Avail. Cash in my account for years.  I originally sent BD a check.

Does that put me in a different category than people that have physical bullion stored for them?

Again, I never bought or sold a thing.

Via the BD website I attempted a cash draw to get the money back.  I got a Cash Withdraw Confirmation on the web site and I got the automated email confirming my withdrawal.

At the web site it said:

Your cash draw has been confirmed for $xxx.xx.  The order number for this draw request is XXXXXXX.  You will receive an email notice when your payment is sent.

Here is what the automated email looked like:

        Account #:  XXXXXXXXX
        Cash Draw Order #: XXXXXXXXX

We have received your request on 07/20/2015 for a Cash Draw by Check.
Your Order should be processed and sent within  3  business/banking days. You
should receive another email shortly after your payment has been sent.

Please keep this confirmation for your records.

The way I see it, there are a number of different categories, of which most people are in more than one:

[1] People with metal stored at Bullion Direct,
[2] People who have "Available Cash" at Bullion Direct,
[3] People who are waiting on orders they placed,
[4] People who are waiting on draws for products stored at Bullion Direct,
[5] People waiting for money drawn from their account,
[6] People who have sent metal to Bullion Direct, and not been paid yet

From the perspective of the bankruptcy, any categories may be a bit different, depending on circumstances (e.g. whether metal stored at Bullion Direct is considered the property of customer).

After dark's email reads:

Your Order should be processed and sent within  2  business/banking days.

Mine (AndyG's) says:

Your Order should be processed and sent within  3  business/banking days.

At least they're acknowledging it's going to take longer.  That's a good sign, isn't it?

You might be joking ( I can't always tell online)   but if not, I think that the delay of 2 and 3 days  is because mine is a wire transfer and your's is a check.   When I inquired by email after a few days  I got a response indicating that I have been referred to the accounting department.   All other queries since then have been met with the preprogrammed response.

Yeah, I was joking.  I was thinking that maybe a little gallows humor might help us all get through this.  You did bring to my attention that your cash draw was via wire transfer and mine was by check.  I hadn't noticed that.  Thanks.
